In the Industrial Revolution, people created new technological tools to give them more time to spend exploring arts, to keep up with current events, and to spend time with friends and family.
But with time, human beings have dismissed the true essence of technology. In the old days people used to go to work, do what they had to do and then left to go home and spend time with friends and family.
In our days, people still return home. But instead of spending time with friends and families, they go straight to play video games, listen to music and use cellphones. They forget to have a conversation with their parents and siblings, or share their feelings and thoughts.
Now it looks like the technological tools (cellphones, laptops, tv's, etc.) are indispensable on our lives. We don't have any privacy or leisure time anymore. We spend all our time with technology.
It's obvious that technology is important to the world, but it is not indispensable. More over if we don't understand it's true essence, it can destroy us.
